Can't get past startup screen

Hi,I am new here, and am learning to use your Game SDK.  I have compiled the tutorial app and downloaded onto my Android device.  

When I run the app, I get the startup screen.  NOTE: The tutorial says nothing about this.  Anyways, my email address is already filled in, and I enter a password, and I get an error message: "Please choose a different nickname.  This one is already taken."  I tried changing the name to anything else, and I continue to get the same error message.  What is wrong here?
